SATA and PATA

    I was wondering if it's possible to use both your SATA and PATA for hardrives at the same time. In other words can I run a raptor on the SATA port and my older seagate 120gb on the PATA port for storage.

    Yes, but should be able to do that.

    However, I did find on my board that I could not have all 4 PATA and 2 SATA, it needed to be 2 SATA and 2 PATA, or 4 PATA. Anyway, there is no good reason why not, so you should give it a go. The SATA is faster, and would be good for OS as it will make your machine boot and work faster. The PATA would also be good for storage, yes.
