SATA drives

My dell vostro laptop came with vista,but some of my programs do not work on vista,when i try to install winxp all goes well until i recieve this message " No hard drive seen". Can some one assist on how to go about this?

It seem to me that many people haven't mentioned that they googled this situation for using the sata hard drives on laptop for down-grading to XP.

Have you ever googled for using and integrating the F6 drivers for laptop as yet?

Before you bother to install XP, go to Dell support and make sure you can find Windows XP compatible drivers for your laptop. If there aren't any, you won't want to install XP. That said, for XP applications that won't work in Vista you can try changing the compatibility mode of the programs to XP.
