Here are the specification for the new system I built.

1:Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 ST3250310AS 250GB 7200 RPM 8MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive - OEM
2:Intel Core 2 Duo E7300 Wolfdale 2.66GHz 3MB L2 Cache LGA 775 Dual-Core Processor
3:G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory
4:ASUS P5Q SE PLUS LGA 775 Intel P45 ATX Intel Motherboard

On this system I installed Windows XP Pro 64 on a 50GB partition. Everything went fine without any problem. But when I went to create another partition on this system using disk management the format will fail and I won't be able to boot into windows again. I look into every where for a solution but I couldn't find any. I have been working on this machine for a week now. By the way, this is my first time using SATA Drive. Thanks in advance for any kind of help I can get from anybody out there.

Use the Seagate SATA drive's install software. You can get it from their support website. You will have to partition first, then install the OS on the drive
