  1. Heloo there
I have a problem with my friends pc... i checked it thru teamviewer couldn't go there directly... and i find the problem weird.

His screen resoultion is max that his nvidia card can take somewhere 1280x780 i think or soo, as show in this pic:
    http://img834.imageshack.us/i/screenrezbad.png

But when ur like browsing net, or doing anything it goes back to 800x600
i checked setthings and it was all fine, nothing to do with them.

Here is hijackthis log, posted like this and attachment.

Usually this is a problem with your video driver conflicting with some other program. You are running an old version of Internet Explorer. This tells me that you are missing some critical XP updates. Run Windows Update, paying attention to all critical and hardware updates. While your at it, you have too many toolbars. That search hook looks bad... Is Avast running and updating properly? You may have a malware infection

You may want to post this here:

Yes i notices those tool bars too... but only on IE
i did unistall media bar and youtube downloader toolbar

Avast is runing and updating... i do have some experience in viruses and infections...

Ill try to remove more toolbars and update windows.... should i make another log after that?

"Ill try to remove more toolbars and update windows.... should i make another log after that?"...

No real need to. If you are still having problems after doing all this, and the malware checking, I would open a new post in the "Virus & Malware" section, where hijack logs are better analyzed
