Scrolling help!

    I know this is a real stupid question, but on my HP 5000v laptop I can't get scrolling to be a smooth transition, instead when I scroll any web page it seems to go slow and in small layers. I've tried just about everything I know to correct this. I would like pages to scroll faster, if that is understandable. Thanks again for any help.

    mouse properties>wheel tab or scroll tab>how many lines you want to scroll at a time
    Default is usualy 3 lines..

    Also check if you are using the optimised video resolution and have all current updates etc..
