Secondhand computer, no password

    I bought a used HP Pavillion desktop. It has windows xp professional on it. The log in screen says unknown user. I've tried several things, can anyone tell me how I can get by the log in to actually bring up windows?

    Type [ctrl][alt][del] [del], that is press the 3 keys simultaneously, a quick release and press [del], this will bring you to a somewaht Windows 2000 log-on screen. Type Administrator and hope it does not have a password.

    Should you get that working, go to Control Panel and create a new user.
