Computer Security is a big issue today -- it impacts our Systems and our Networks.

It would be more obvious to the community (imo) if Security were a major topic with
    (a)System Security and
    (b)Network Security as subforums.

    (a) topics would be the current Virus & Malware Removal topic (although IDS belongs under System Security too) while
    (b) would focus on Network, email filtering, firewalls and configurations, phishing, user control and access (eg Net Nanny)

While I'm at it Storage & Networking is overloaded too (they're not related).
If segregated, then Networking could hold it's own Security subforum.

The bottom line suggestion is (imo) the forums ought to be natural hierarchies of related materal
instead of disjointed topics (which I suspect were setup quickly and perhaps to facilitate moderators [no slurs intended toward anyone!]).

    No, I understand your point.
I've read your original concern as well

I agree that Networking or security or even Internet could have its own forum
Network\Security & Internet, or something like that
Although not fabulous on all networking issues, I do enjoy trying to resolve these specific issues.

I asked Julio to have a look ;)
