Hi, as you can see from the title of the thread, my computer has been rebooting on its own for no reason. At first I thought it was just when I burn dvds but as it turns out this is not the case. I'm not tech-minded so please have patience with me, from reading other threads and troubleshooting issues I hope I can provide all the information necessary. After the reboot Windows warns me that it has encountered a serious system error. This is the information I can give you from my Event Viewer, and I have also saved and attached the .dmp file for the last time this happened:

I only reformatted this pc about 3 weeks ago and I hope to not have to do it again. Also, if this is a driver issue or something similar, reformatting may not solve the problem if I install the same apps. I do do a lot of downloading from the net but I doubt this is a trojan or virus, though you never know. This pc is linked to a local Linux server which we use instead of a router, but the networking program has been written by a software specialist and I know nothing about it except for how to open and close ports (we don't even have a monitor or keyboard hooked up to it), but we've been using this system for a couple years with no problems. I hope someone hear my cry for help and comes to my rescue.
Thanks,
dap
