Service pack issue

I had windows xp home sp3 installed. It ran over half a year and then i installed win xp home sp1 because old windows was starting to go very buggy. New os worked very fine but when i installed sp2 computer crashed at the loading screen. I couldnt start it with safe mode eighter. I reinstalled windows back to home sp1. Couple of days later i tried to install xp pro sp2 and the same problem occured. Then the second win xp pro sp2 from my other friend and that did not work eighter. Finally i installed win xp pro sp1 and that worked.

I don't know what is the problem? My computer does not like sp2's?

This could point toward a possible problem, what exactly when wrong.
What happened after the crash using SP2, did your computer give you any messages?

Did you perform a clean format before installing? Try installing SP3 see if that works out.

I did full format.
Computer just freezes.
With sp1 it works and with sp3 it worked too. I don't know about now.

When i play with CD drive (open and close) then loading dosen't freeze but it wont go furder.

Can i download sp3 instead of downloading a sp2 first? ( i think No!)
