Setup did not find any hard disk..

Hi I have a Fujitsu Siemens Amilo M3438g laptop. The hard disk is a Samsung HM080JI it's a sata driver.

When i want to install a new Windows pro it says "Setup did not find any hard disk drives installed in your system".

I have pressed F6 but it asks me for floppy.
I have searched the web for solutions but the only ones I found needed floppy disc, but I don't have a floppy on the laptop. I couln't find any settings in the bios either.

I would love some help

Get the floppy drivers for that drive from the manuf. site...
Then burn them to CD and use that in the install process.

Are you sure? I have tried once, it doesn't work with cd it asks for floppy.

I have exact same problem, and I am searching for solutions which are alternative to floppy coz i also have a laptop.

Btw, how did you try to burn the SATA drivers in the CD and plug that CD in the middle of the setup when you had pressed F6? I mean did you remove the XP cd from the cd rom drive and entered your sata drivers cd into the cdrom?

how will the setup run if xp cd is removed from the cd rom drive?
