Should I complain/Take this further?

Bought a graphics card from OcUK 18 months ago for around £320. The card developed a defect a week ago. I phone OcUK for technical support and RMA but it turns out the card had only one year warranty.

Is this acceptable? should I take it further because I'm frankly pissed off that the card develops a defect only 18 months after purchase, which is only 6 months after the warranty expires.

What should I do?
 
If the warranty was 12 months, how can you expect them to do anything about it 18 months after purchase ? Warranty is out, and that's all there is to it.

You have nowhere further to take this.

It's not that simple. Regardless of the warranty the product should remain working for a reasonable amount of time. I've seen plenty of shows where people have successfully had replacements sent to them after they took it further and complained and got regulators involved.
