    It'd be nice if signatures could be there when replying to people. Some (if not most) people have their hardware listed in signature and I have poor memory ;)

    I think he means when you are actually typing in the reply - the sigs disappear. Am I right?

    no, he mean's when you hit reply (or quote even) when the messages in the thread appear beneath the reply window they are all signatureless, e.g. your;
    "Water tastes best when flavored with hops and barley"
    comment is missing if I select reply or quote.
