Sim City 4 Deluxe Edition problems

i have sim city 4 deluxe edition, it quit randomly without warning, no popups or anything, right to the desktop. my computer is well above the requirements.
i dont get what the problem is with it.
Look at MY Specs:
Core 2 Duo: 2.40GHz each
2GB of ram
500GB hard drive
Nvidia GeForce 7600 GS

Apply all official and unofficial patches, and use Windows 98 compatibility mode as well. SC4 is an awesome, but insanely buggy game, so don't be surprised if you face other problems as well.
