Sims 2 expansion problem please help

I am really very confused i installed sims 2 a few days ago and added expansions in the following order Apartment's Life, Night life, Open for business, Seasons, Pets. as my graphic card sucks i uninstalled apartment's life to try to avoid the red blinking walls but after i uninstalled it, i couldnot run any expansion packs. i tried to uninstall everything and reinstalled sims 2 base game.WORKEDbut when i installed the expansion packs again none of them worked. can somebody please help me i would be very grateful

Maybe the problem is that you don't click the right .exe file. For example if you have Freetime and Apartment Life you should run Apartment Life as it is the newer one.
