Sims 2: Failed to find any DirectX 9.0c compatible adapters

    I already downloaded and installed DirectX 9.0c on my computer, but this message still shows up.This is my computer information:

    System manufacturer: Lenovo
    Processor: Pentium(R) Dual-core CPU
    Memory: 4096MB RAM
    DirectX version: DirectX 11
    Chip type: Intel(R) 4 Series Express chipset family

    I tried re-installing the sims 2 but it that didn't work. I've tried almost everything, but nothing seems to be working.
