Sims 2 "parameter is incorrect"

    I need help regarding the common control1.dat problems during installation. Like as always, the installation freezes in some point. In some sites that I've searched, some mentioned that manually copying the files to the folders would work. Well here's the deal, I can't copy the control1.dat to the folder. An error always bugs me out saying "cannot copy control1: parameter is incorrect." Can someone help me please? Thx

    after installing the sim2, it asked to "Please insert Disk 1"..I did and after that it said that "Please insert the correct CD-ROM, select OK and restart application." I don't why! PLEASE HELP! i already tried inserting all the other disks and it would still say the same thing...!
