Sims 3 game won't install

    I had the Sims 3 game installed a long time ago, but I had uninstalled it about a month or so ago. I felt like installing it again, but when it gets to the installing page, it freezes. Something will pop up saying there's been an error and it asks me to cancel or retry. The error says "I/O Device Error"... not sure what that means. Please help me!

    Tell us more about the computer and operating system, including memory, audio, etc.

    I don't know anything about that stuff. My dad helped me pick out my computer, so I don't know anything about it. All I know is that my sims worked fine before. I've uninstalled it before and re-installed it, and it worked fine. For some reason it's not working right this time.
