Ok so here is the story...

I have 2 Audio cards, and i been picking my brain trying to make on or the other work...

One is a SB Live 5.1 - Standalone, I've totally given up all hope on making this one work.. according to my research Creative makes drivers like Mattel makes children toys...

Now for the one i'm REALLY trying to make work, it's my integrated SiS7012 on my Asus Mobo, Model P4S800.

I have downloaded, the direct Drivers from SiS, and from Asus, neither would work...

One error would be "Driver not found reboot and run setup again".
That is from the Asus Install

The other from SiS is.
"Driver has same name as a device or service".

I have tried the Setup.exe files, and I've directly told Wizard to install from the .ISF files no luck there.

I've tried everything i can think of spent around 4 hours trying to get sounds, and i'm ready to try my Base Ball Bat theory....

Also here is my Everest Report on the specs.

If you are convinced you have the right driver for your SiS sound card and for the right operating system, the only conclusion is that the device itself is faulty. You could try shorting out the BIOS to reset the motherboard but I have never seen this work.
