Well You have 1 which is a active spyware, 2 which is another active spyware, 4 another one and 9 which installs all of them

Did you pay for Zone alarm security suite

you need to remove Hitman Pro

the you need to remove any of the ones below and just leave one

2. Spyware doctor
4. Super antispyware
1. Zone alarm antispyware

Ok, I have uninstalled the Hitman pro , turned off the Zone alarm antispyware, and just keep the Spyware doctor as my active antispyware. Even though the Zone alarm and Spyware doctors are paid version but I actually "earned" them rather than paid for them. I got them by registering in a certain ad promo.

What's our next move Dan ?

Testing my PC

I'm gonna observe my PC for 1- 2 days to see if there is any improvement in performance and will let you know afterward. Meanwhile, you still haven't answered my question regarding the virus found with combo fix.

Spyware doctor and ZA calls it Trojan-PVS Bancos. is this a false alert ? Should I remove it or let it go ?

Ken

But let do a cleaning process

Uninstall ComboFix

  • Click Start then Run
  • Now Type Combofix /u in the runbox
  • Make sure there's a space between Combofix & /u
  • Then hit Enter

The above procedure will Delete the following:
  • ComboFix & it's associated files & folders.
  • Reset the clock settings.
  • Hide file extensions, if required.
  • Hide system/hidden files, if required.
  • Set a new, clean Restore Point.

------------------------------------------------------------------

OTCleanit! by Oldtimer

  • Download OTCleanIt
  • Click the CleanUp! button.
(It will go thorugh the list & remove all of the tools it finds and then delete itself) Requiring a reboot

===================================

Now we need to create a new System Restore point.

Click Start Menu > Run > type (or copy and paste)

%SystemRoot%\System32\restore\rstrui.exe

Press OK. Choose Create a Restore Point then click Next. Name it and click Create, when the confirmation screen shows the restore point has been created click Close.

Next goto Start Menu > Run > type

cleanmgr

Click OK, Disk Cleanup will open and start calculating the amount of space that can be freed, Once thats finished it will open the Disk Cleanup options screen, click the More Options tab then click Clean up on the system restore area and choose Yes at the confirmation window which will remove all the restore points except the one we just created.

To close Disk Cleanup and remove the Temporary Internet Files detected in the initial scan click OK then choose Yes on the confirmation window.

The following is a list of tools and utilities that I like to suggest to people. This list is full of great tools and utilities to help you understand how you got infected and how to keep from getting infected again.
  1. Spybot Search & Destroy - Uber powerful tool which can search and annhilate nasties that make it onto your system. Now with an Immunize section that will help prevent future infections.
  2. AdAware - Another very powerful tool which searches and kills nasties that infect your system. AdAware and Spybot Search & Destroy compliment each other very well.
  3. SpywareBlaster - Great prevention tool to keep nasties from installing on your system.
  4. SpywareGuard - Works as a Spyware "Shield" to protect your computer from getting malware in the first place.
  5. IE-SpyAd - puts over 5000 sites in your restricted zone so you'll be protected when you visit innocent-looking sites that aren't actually innocent at all.
  6. ATF Cleaner - Cleans temporary files from IE and Windows, empties the recycle bin and more. Great tool to help speed up your computer and knock out those nasties that like to reside in the temp folders.
  7. Windows Updates - It is very important to make sure that both Internet Explorer and Windows are kept current with the latest critical security patches from Microsoft. To do this just start Internet Explorer and select Tools > Windows Update, and follow the online instructions from there.
  8. Google Toolbar - Free google toolbar that allows you to use the powerful Google search engine from the bar, but also blocks pop up windows.
  9. Trillian or Miranda-IM - These are Malware free Instant Messenger programs which allow you to connect to multiple IM services in one program! (AOL, Yahoo, ICQ, IRC, MSN)

I have another problem with my PC which I hope you can help me. I don't know if it's hardware or software problem.

My PC always shuts down by itself when :
1. I reboot in safe mode
2. I do a diagnostic check using the original diagnostic tool CD from DEll
3. I try to reinstall windows using the original CD from DELL

Through observation, I suspect the problem comes from overheating because everytime I put a fan beside my PC, the shutdowns don't occur. What's puzzling me is the fact that when I diagnose the PC fan, it is working and passing the test. So why is it still overheating only when it's in safe mode or installing or diagnosting and it never shuts down by itself when it;s in normal mode ?

Do you have any idea how to fix this problem ?

Thanks.

Download speedfan from the link below and install it then run it you should see the temps like the image below post them

I have done the cleaning. As for the tool list, I'm confused, Are you telling me to install all those tools ? won't they conflict with what I already have installed ? I want to install spyware Guard as an addition to the spyware blaster but this guard is a real time spyware, wouldn't this conflict with spyware doctor ?

I already have Ccleaner which I think works like ATF cleaner, do you think I should replace it with ATF cleaner ?

When I do Windows update, it always fails to install the security updates. I don't know how to fix this.

I don't know how to post the speed fan. I just can paste you the readings as follows :

Win9x:NO 64Bit:NO GiveIO:YES SpeedFan:YES
I/O properly initialized
Linked ISA BUS at $0290
Linked Intel 82801DB ICH4 SMBUS at $1880
Scanning ISA BUS at $0290...
Scanning Intel SMBus at $1880...
SMART Enabled for drive 0
Found WDC WD800VE-00HDT1 (80.0GB)
Found ACPI temperature (80.0C)
End of detection

(Green check symbol )HDO : 39C
(Fire symbol ) TEMP1 : 80C
(Fire symbol) TEMP2 : 59C

They are just suggestions it does not mean you have to install them. ATF is like ccleaner and you should not have more then one active spyware protection.

This looks bad

TEMP1 : 80C
I would recommend (only if you know how to put your hands inside the computer) to get a can of compressed air and clean the computer especially the heatsink & fan

Improvement

During these 2 days, I see some improvement in my PC performance. It's just the loading time is still quite long. I did some tweaking by following the guide I found from Techspot. After the tweaking, I can see the boot time and shut down time improving but the application loading is still slow eventhough I did turn off some process and applications running in the background but I guess they just come back.

Can you help me tweak my PC Dan ? cause I don't know which applications and processes are essential and which are the ones I can confidently turn off.

As for the overheating, I still haven't got the chance to buy the compressed air but I will definitely clean my PC once I get it.

Thanks a lot for your help.

Ken

Run this tool unzip it then double click it to merge with the registry. Once you do that select yes and ok then reboot. Now post a fresh hijackthis to see what we can disable

run hijackthis and place a check net to the items below

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {01443AEC-0FD1-40fd-9C87-E93D1494C233} - (no file)
O2 - BHO: (no name) - {02478D38-C3F9-4efb-9B51-7695ECA05670} - (no file)

O3 - Toolbar: (no name) - {F0D4B239-DA4B-4daf-81E4-DFEE4931A4AA} - (no file)

click in the fix item then exit hijackthis.

so to Start>Run and typpe msconfig uncheck the items below then reboot you will get a box when your computer stars up place a check in the bottom and click ok

BigDog303
TkBellExe
RemoteControl
Yahoo! PagerO4
msnmsgr

Other than msnmsgr, I don't see any of these on start up and services tab :

BigDog303
TkBellExe
RemoteControl
Yahoo! PagerO4, but I found yahoomsgr and already unchecked it

Perhaps they appear with different names ?

List of programs on start up

There are too many but I am gonna list just those checked ones :
ZCfgSvc
ifrmewrk
Zlclient
OEdmn_3
VM303_STI
jusched
igfxtray
hkcmd
igfxpers
blank item with blank command location : HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Currentversion\Run
pctsTray
ctfmon
YahooMessenger (disabled but always automatically rechecked when used)
SpywareGuard

go to this website sysinfo.org then scroll down to startup enter the name of the items then click on search it will come back with a list match it ti the one you have and on the top you will see something like

X
Y
N

Read what they are then follow it if not required and you dont need it then uncheck it.

Which - version of this are you running? pctsTray
Are you running Firewall Plus Threat Fire and SD+AV also?

AV is that the stand alone one from PC Tools..

How come you don't try:

ThreatFire
SD+AV
www.pctools.com/mirror/sdastart.exe. (freeware full commercial version)
Firewall Plus

The rest are free.. I only suggest the SD+AV because of the issues running two stand alones from PCTools has some issues. ZA slows the the system but that's me you might fine it quicker.

Thanks for your input Tipsir, but since I have the paid versions of ZA & SD, I will use them till they expire then will install the freebies..
