A month ago, Dell came by and installed a new motherboard on my dads XPS 720. Ever since install, the boot up has been slow to start. I am wondering if there were a way to do a diagnostic on the bootup. Also, when using some of the software installed (Word docs, excel), the computer will shut down then boot itself back up. No blue screen of death, just a regular boot up, but takes about 10 to 15 minutes.

    Thanks for your time.

The Dell technician should have done a "fresh" Windows install... Are there any yellow exclamation points in the device manager? You can always call the Dell tech back to correct this
