Hey Guys, new here. Hoping to stay with you here on Techspot and be an active member Anyways, here's my question, also my first post Whenever i play The Sims 2, it has a slow frame rate or lets say, it's so slow, specially, when your on build mode, Also sometimes it shows up, "nvlddmkm Display Driver Stopped Responding and Has Successfully Recovered" I have a: Windows Vista SP1 nVidia GeForce FX 5500 256mb DDR 128bit Intel D Dual Core 3.0Ghz 1 GB Ram Is the problem on the processor or should i downgrade my OS to XP?
Pretty lackluster system specs to be gaming on Vista - but nevertheless, I would guess that The Sims 2 should run fine. Have you tried to update your video card drivers? http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us
Hmm, i dont think so. I tried installing the Setup CD that comes with the Graphic Card, but when i try to install the vista 32-bit driver, it says it cannot find a driver which supports the installer. So i used the 96.85 version, which worked. Kinda pretty weird.
