For the past few days, XP has taken a few minutes to shut down after I clicked the Turn off button. It used to take only about 10 seconds. Any ideas?

Anything new happened to the system? Changes, downloads, etc....anything we need to know about?

It seems strange this would just happen out of the blue.

Any new information would be appreciated.

Nothing that I know of. It did this before and after a reformat.

Well, after going by the information in the other thread, I see that I do have a lot of service control manager errors.

HIbernation sucks.. I don't recommend it. It's the poor man's standby, so to speak.
