Slowdowns at Windows startup

    Hi my laptop is now 1.5 years old and when i first got it the welcome screen where u type your password into use to take at the most 10 secs to load up from pressing the power button but now it takes atleast 30 and then after i have logged in the spinning circle apears for along time aswell before loading up my desktop. Is there anyway of speedin it back up my computer isn't slow once the desktop has apeared.

    sorry m8 i dont know much about comuters what do u mean by software upgrades i have installed all the windows updates and where do i find the computer specs
