Sniper Elite V2 controller issue

I can't play any of my games even my emulators and my PS3 controller works fine. Go into the settings on SE V2 and it won't let me even select the controller. Any idea's

PS3 controller works as just a gamepad. Some games don't support a generic gamepad.

They do sometimes, however, support a Xbox360 controller - especially if the game appeared on a console.
