Ok when I run the 2 sticks of memory in my board memtest shuts down before it can even get to 1% if I run them single they are fine.

got latest drivers and bios

ok I forgot to add my buddy told me my PSU would be fine it is a antec tru power 550w

I am running corsair dominator 2 x 2g cm2x2048-8500c5d
motherboard is Asus m4a79 Deluxe
evga xt275 896mb video card

now when I use cpu-id it says max bandiwdth at pc2-6400 ( 400 mhz) I think that program may not be reading it right not sure because I read I can run these sticks at 1066 if I just up volt to 2.1v .

any idea what could be the problem ?

Try running it with one stick of memory. Do you get BSODs? Asus boards are quite well known about their pickiness about what RAN is used per board, the amount installed, and how it is configured.

yes i have ran it with one stick and no errors. i have read from many sites and forums that people are running this exact setup except psu and they are not having issues. i just wish i i could run memtest to find out but it wont even get to 1%
