Yeah you could do something like, The aliens have landed on Earth Wait, that's been done. And some people died because of it You need to be very careful with what you write or say to people.
If distractions are the issue then maybe billboards should be outlawed, they are, by design, intended to get your attention.
When I lived in Idaho, I worked in a sign shop where we made a yellow caution sign, just for fun, that said, "Caution: Man-eating Cows," and we anchored it on Highway 21 just across from a field full of angus cows. The Idaho Dept. of Transportation didn't appreciate it and tore the sign down the next day.
