hey i was playing sims 3 on my laptop and i turned it off and went to sleep and i come down yesterday morning and its not booting up its staying on the microsoft corporation loading for ever i tried to keep it to keep it on all night and it will not more past the page and i tried restoring it to factory setting and the gets stuck on the final step before its formats the harddrive and crashes

Hard drive is going bad, perhaps. I would save your data now, if you can.
That Sony has difficult cooling channels... You might want to clean it up with some Q-tips and a can of dust off or other "treated" canned air, and some denatured alcohol.

If the hard drive is not going bad, it is likely still going to require a complete reformat and reinstall.

can't save any data as i can't get on windows and i am trying to reformat it now
