Sound quits after a few minutes of use

    So after I turn on my computer and I use the sound, like for example on windows media player, it will randomly quit, and won't work until I restart the computer, but than it repeats. It started out when I was playing a game, but I tried uninstalling the game, system restore and nothing has yet to work. Help!

    Have you tried uninstalling the old sound driver and installing a new one? Uninstall from Add or Remove Programs (XP) or Programs and Features (Vista, W7).
