Soundcard IRQ

Do you guys think its ok for my soundcard to be sharing IRQs with my onboard Gigabit Lan Controller? Also, which PCI slot is best to put my soundcard in?

irq sharing is not ideal but hard to avoid under XP I believe.

Take the slot that is furthest from graphics unless this is the one that shares IRQ with LAN. Sharing arrangement might be specified in your mobo's manual - in that case pick a slot that does not share resources with anything.
