    Hi!
So i have this problem, i just installed Windows 7 and i noticed that my default playback device is Digital Audio (S/PDIF) altough it should be Speakers.
But Speakers are grey and theres text bellow "not plugged in". i tried troubleshooting programm in control panel and it gave me "The peripheral does not appear to be plugged in. Check the connection."
so now i realy dont know what to do , and before u say chekk your drivers, mine are all up to date. please help.

    Hi there,
Are you using onboard sound or a sound card?
What OS have you come from, or is it just a reinstall?

I have onboard sound card, Abit IP35 Pro motherboard. Speakers and headsets worked fine when i had Vista but then i installed Win 7 and they dont work anymore. i have tried updating all possible drivers i can think about .

It looks as if the audio drivers are not installed. I would try downloading them from the PC manufacturer's website or if it is a self built or custom built PC, go to the motherboard manufacturer's site.
