Last week I purchased 6 of these ssd's

It seems my onboard raid controller poops out at about 450mbs at read in my 4xssd raid 0 array. I know the cards are capable of doing more. I'll use the last 2 for my os when i upgrade to win7.

So I'm going to buy this raid card today

I'm hoping this will help my read speeds, but I have a few questions.

What's the easiest way to move my os to the ssd's? I know vista has a backup option in it, but is it possible to mirror my current hdd onto the ssd's before I upgrade to win7 and just format the original os hdd and pray that when I upgrade win7 will see the mirrored image on the ssd's

If I'm doing a fresh install and have all my ssd's hooked up to the raid card will the prompt menu recognize the ssd's through the pci e lane like it does for the native sata ports?

Last question. Can you add more hdd's/sdd's in the future and expand the array?

Thx to all that gives helpful information.
