What kind of games are you trying to play?

The laptop you have I think uses the NVIDIA GeForce Go 7150M Graphics Chipset. This onboard chipset will not enable you to play most modern day 3D games.

As to the Aero effects, these are the minimum system requirements:

1. a 1 GHz 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) processor
2. 1 GB of system memory (512MB sometimes works)
3. a DirectX 9 compatible graphics processor with a Windows Display Driver Model (WDDM)driver, Pixel shader 2.0 in hardware, and a minimum of 128 MB of Video RAM
32 bits per pixel
4. 40 GB hard drive with 15 GB free space
5. DVD-ROM Drive
6. Audio output and Internet access (preferably broadband)

Here is a review on your IGP.
