    CPU fan starts.No beep,no video.What should I check first?

    try reseating the video card. If that doesn't help, try a barebones boot(one drive, single stick of RAM, vid card, keyboard, mouse)

    Your problems is either with your video or your ram...Make sure both are seated properly. If possible test your computer with a known working video card and or Ram.

    I just had a problem like that with a Gigabyte board.....No beeps no post, nothing......wasnt the video, wasnt the ram, just a bad cpu seat......no power going to it...but the fan worked....doa mobo could be the culprit just do a prossess of elimination like they said above but most likley it is just a DOA mobo they are more common than ever now a days
