Ok I have a DELL Inspiron 1545 laptop.
Java was working fine until a few weeks ago when I tried to access a site that uses Java and couldnt. I went onto the Java website, checked if I had Java it said I had Java18 and it wasnt up to date so I had to install the new one.
I tried installing it and just when it was finishing loading I just heard a beep sound - like an error sound and the loading box disappeared. That was it.
I've tried it since various times but the box always just disappears.I'm not given an error message or reason or anything like that.
I've tried turning off my firewall but it still doesn't work.
I've been looking for possible solutions for ages!
