    Hi..
Every time I turn on my PC it doesn't get passed "Detecting IDE drives". Up until recently it wouldn't open at all (didn't even give signal to the screen). I fixed (or so I thought) that by changing the power cable with the one from my old computer and by opening the Tower and cleaning the fan. When it opened first time it got up to the point where the WINDOWS (XP Home to be exact) are loaded and it restarted itself. Not Safe Mode made a difference. I turned it off and tried again. After several such failed attempts it stuck where I wrote at the beginning.
    Any suggestions to fix it?

Check the connections to the hard drive(s). If the connections are good, you may be dealing with a bad C drive
