SVCHOST virus

Hi. I am new to the board. Found it by looking up info on cleaning out the SVCHOST virus. What a pain in the UNOWHAT. But the 8 step method worked great and I am back to normal operation. My son will not be on this computer again. Interestingly enough Superantispyware found the virus and would quaranteen it but it alawys came back on reboot. Trend Micro which currently use did not find the virus at all. Also when I uploaded the file to VirusTotal, numerous virus progs identified it as a virus but not trnd. Maybe I am using the wrong program?

Sounds like you still have some infections/infestations...
Go back to the top of the board and review the three "stickies" by Julio.
Follow them with great care and diligence, step by step.
Don't forget to uninstall ANY torrent or other P2P software before you start.
