Sylvania 4GB Touch Mp3 Player Trouble

I just got a Sylvania mp3 player and I have Windows 2000.I installed the AVI Converter program that came with the player.When I try to convert,I select my video,then click "Convert Now". Every time I click it I message pops up saying "menconverter.exe error" I've tried re-installing and restarting the computer and I still get the message...Any help would be appreciated!

Upgrade the Windows 2000 computer to XP, Service Pack 3. Make sure you have enough hard drive space (greater than 30GB) and as close to 512MB to 1GB of system memory
