I have an SMP1036...When I plug it in the USB port and begin to transfer files, it seems to work for about 10-15 files, then stops transferring. It will then not transfer any more files, but looks like it's caught in a loop....."transferring", but nothing actually transfers.

Very frustrating.

Can you update the firmware? Sometimes that is all it takes. If you continue to have issues I recommend the website www.anythingbutipod.com and post your issue in their forum Other MP3 Players.
