Symantec claims anti-virus is "dead"

And as a (real) programmer friend once said "programmers do not need anti-viruses"

I agree Symantec are money hungry, hardly anyone is using them these days could be why probably is

After using ESET NOD32, or installing Kaspersky for friends, I realized what a piece of junk Norton Antivirus is lol. The things that would slip by Norton scans. :/

The problem with anti-virus is if you were writing viruses, you could go out and buy antivirus products and keep rewriting your code and testing it against those commercial products until you know it would no longer be detected by them...
