Inactive System Check virus

I don't even know what's going on right now. I just had my firefox open, and was reading a book when a bunch of windows came up saying "faled to save components" for system 32. Now everything's been deleted. How should I deal with this problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

System Check is a fake computer analysis and optimization program from the FakeHDD family of rogues. It gives false alerts that to make you think that your computer has hard disk problems that have lead to corrupt and missing data. and/or false security warnings.

It is configured to start automatically when you login to Windows. None of those alerts and messages are real, so don't click on any of the, or try to 'fix' them. .

I have specific scans to run for this rogue but I have to get some information about what's on the system, so I'd like you to please follow the steps in the Preliminary Virus and Malware Removal thread HERE.

NOTE: If you already have any of the scanning programs on the computer, please remove them and download the versions in these links.

When you have finished, leave the logs for review in your next reply .

If GMER give any problem, you can skip it for now. If you have a problem running either or both Malwarebytes or DDS, please advise me so I can help get around it.

Do you have an internet connection? If you do not, the programs can be loaded onto a flash drive from another computer, then run on the infected one.

If you cannot access the system because the programs are 'missing', please run the following
Download Unhide.exe and save to the desktop.

• Double-click on Unhide.exe icon to run the program.
• This program will remove the +H, or hidden, attribute from all the files on your hard drives.

Note: this does not remove the malware- it only removes the attribute that is use to make the programs seem missing. It is important that you continue.
