Is it slowing down during gaming or after you exit a game?

If it's happening for all your games when you are playing, it maybe a heat related problem- CPU overheating and throttling down. Check if all the fans are running, case/CPU/GPu temps etc.

If the latter, then possibly a case of the application (game) not releasing resources-RAM/CPU it was using? A reboot would fix that as is happening in your case I'd think.

    this is called Memory Leaking
and is common in many programs.
