System Standby??

  1. techgeek05 Newcomer, in training

    Hello everyone! I'm new here so I'm not sure if this goes here but I'll post here. Whenever I switch to system standby my pc shuts down for about 10 seconds and starts right back up on it's own when it's supposed to be in standby mode. This doesn't seem normal. Anybody else had/having this problem? What can be done to remedy this?

    It could be due to your network card having Wake On Lan enabled. If something is trying to access your network card it could be waking your computer form standby immediately. Just a thought.
