Task Bar Freeze

  1. My task bar get frozen everytime i turn my computer on and load into the desktop. I installed windows XP Pro. version, then Windows 2000 Pro, and then I tried Vista Ultimate, all happens the same. Everytime, i have to hit ctrl-alt-del keys to unblock. I format my hard drive with dos version 6.22. Again, still get the same result. I suspect it has something to do with my memory. My system is running with Pentium 4. 3.00ghz, 2gb memory. It has been running great for the last 3 year until now. Thank you for your time and suggestion.

Install the OS you want, then run memtest and see if thats your problem.

Technically you should have enough RAM, but if it's faulty, it doesn't matter how much you have. I agree- decide on an OS. remove the others. Run the memtest. You will find the instructions here:
