I cannot see anything on the Task bar none of the icons at all neither the start button

I was defraging the harddrive and in less than a minute put an end to it

after ending then I realsied my system was VERY slow and and the task bar was greyed out!

    confused?

    what is the problem?

What OS? Did you restart since then (you probably did)?
Canceling defragmentation shouldn't cause any crazy things to happen you can't fix with a restart.

i dunno, interrupting a defreag process on a fat-based filesystem can cause some pretty bad things to happen.

Really? Well, I got lucky then. :D
But messing up the task bar on a permanent basis seems very unlikely.
Perhaps there never was a restart, hehe.

usually when the taskbar gets really messed up it is from corrupted registry entries of system files, of it could be the work of malicious software.

I think cutie wasn't able to get back into the system at all...
