Task Manager closes as soon as I open it

Okay whenever I attempt to open my task manger in anyway it closes instantly. I have read in a lot of places that this may be the result of a virus and that HouseCall is a good free anti-virus program. So I ran it and it found nothing. I'm using Windows 7 64-bit. Thanks in advance for any help/

Had the same problem with my laptop a few months back.
It's a virus, do a full scan with whatever software you have.

Um he did, he said he ran HouseCall, and it didn't work

You can always download and install a third party task manager, like Auslogic's Task Manager
