All of you guys are saying, "Man, I only have a 9600xt" or "I wish I cound upgrade from my X800 Pro". I for one would be happy to get one of your old cards. I'm running a 733MHz machine with 364MB or Ram, and a integrated 64MB Intel chip. Don't complain about your nice cards.

Aw screw it. We're supposed to be talking about how great this giveaway is, not how trashy everyone thinks their cards are or how damn powerful this 7800 GT is. People, everybody knows the power of this monstrous thing called the NVIDIA 7800 GT. Whoever doesn't, well let them go visit this link

End Of Discussion

Actually, we are supposed to be talking about the latest news, mainly computer news. Read the first post and the rules.

Maybe this is off topic, but I love Nvidia more than ATI and I think Nvidia is much better in the software than ATI as I've seen both of them and I think Nvidia's software is much easier to configure.

you may have a passive cooler on the video card, they don't really do much for games. try upgrading the cooling on it. you can get the Vantec iceberg or i think thermaltake make something too. just change it over and you'll be fine. i have had a lot of problems with passive cards. not with the sapphire 9700 ultimate. that was HUGE!!!!

umm... i think that as on topics as alot of this, but as long as we're talking about that...how so? i mean, does Nvidia have superior preformance, or is it just easier to use?

oh and on techspot news...

["Wikipedia controversy finds a starting point
by Justin Mann on Mon 12 Dec 2005, 07:14 PM Post your comments regarding this news post Email this story to a friend
The swirl of hot water and controversy that Wikipedia has found themselves in recently has found somewhat of a starting point. The fake entry that implicated a particular journalist to an assassination of a U.S. President turned out to be created by Brian Chase, a 38 year old co worker of the person, attempting to play a joke.

"I knew from the news that Mr. Seigenthaler was looking for who did it, and I did it, so I needed to let him know in particular that it wasn't anyone out to get him, that it was done as a joke that went horribly, horribly wrong,"
Chase claimed he didn't know Wikipedia was used as a serious reference, and it is sad that free online tools are abused in such a manner that cause others to lose faith in the connected community. The false article created ended up getting Wikipedia discredited in USA Today, much to the chagrin of Wikipedia. Recently, they stopped allowing anonymous users to edit articles, hoping to put a curb on situations like this."]

lol, well i guess it was only a matter of time until people were going to put their own, personal bias...course everyone is bias, so i guess it was inevitable.

Hey, don't get me wrong & all man but all i've heard so far, apart from a few quality postings - which is what the rules advocate us to give - is people ranting & raving about how great the contest is and how much they want this card. Ok, so maybe I said it once too. But I didn't freak out about it like some nutter. Let the debates begin everyone. And spartanslayer: peace man.

ATX vs. BTX

I read an article about the ATX style motherboards versus the BTX style. it doesn't really say one is better than the other but they have their pro's and cons. so is this the latest rage? BTX seems pretty good with the redirection of airflow across the processor with the blower fan and across the pci slots with the vented air slot in the bottom with select models to better circulate air. but dunno cuz i was thinking about this new system to build of mine and i came across this. And i think the motherboard slots are flipped left to right right to left. does anybody have any BTX style Cases with the BTX style motherboards? comments post fa sho
