Man, I'd much rather a 6600GT, letalone a 7800GT, than my fx5600!!!
 
Monster? Hell yeah!! I reckon youd be able to play Doom3 and Quake4 on Ultra with full AA and AF!! And the same goes for F.E.A.R. i reckon, too!! Oh yeah, and FarCry with pixel shader 3.0 and Call of Duty in DX9.0 mode with everythin on and Need For Speed Most Wanted and oh man the list goes on!!! I reckon I would cry (with tears and all) for joy if i got this card. If anyone got this card I reckon they wouldnt need to upgrade for at least 3 years or so!!! Man it'd be so COOOOOOOOOOL!!! Of course we cant get the opinion of someone who actually OWNS this card, because why would they want ANOTHER one?! Oh yeah, now i know they wanna SLI it up, wouldnt they? I dont even know the point of SLI, even with modern games....

I' am a student with little money but a true gamer at heart but miss out on playing the latest titles. I'm hoping on of these cards might change that :wave:

oh and its my 20th on the 1st of Jan !!! .. and for once I'd have something to rave about :giddy:
 
Interesting. This will lure the lurkers out. I guess I'll have to step up my posting from 1 per week to 10 ;)

in the unlikely event i win it will be my first pc upgrade in years im sad to say..it would be great to run current games instead of watching the slideshow my current card provides

My 9800 pro was the best 300 bucks i ever spent. Real quality piece of hardware that served me well for 2 years. Sad to see ATI failing to keep up with nvidia as of late but what can ya do. I hope I win this card so that the wait for the PS3 wont be as agonizing!
 
Well, the ATI cards lag behind at first but, for some reason, when u turn up the graphics options like FSAA & resolution, the ATI kicks the Geforce's *** pretty badly. :D

That's sweet, will have to remeber that. Personally i have never used a Geforce card *hoping to get a chance :)* so i can't personally compare them....
 
i think before dx10 is even realised games will be already in production that will use it. i hope that cod3 uses it. im preety sure it will. i just cant what.

also jez nathan u have posted a million times here. i see ur avatar every time i scroll down.
