thankyou jobeard for your reply turns out i had three trojan infections - vundo and two different backdoor bots.tenacious little things.put me off line for three days in the end.almost had to reinstall windows.couldnt even post hjt log.all appears ok now at last.thankyou again for pointing me in the right direction
