  1. Hi guys, I dont really have a clue when it comes to this sorta thing so pls be patient with me.

I have a blue screen error message popping up and freezing my g/f's machine. I reformatted the PC and everything was ok until it was left over night and switched on the next day. The same blue screen with the same error popped up.

oh yeh, before I reformatted I used system restore and rolled back a month previous. This worked for as long as the PC was powered up. Once again after it had been switched off and left over night I got the blue screen.

The causes of 0x7E errors are numerous: hardware incompatibility, drivers, or software. The problem is we don't have enough information to go on to even make and educated guess.

There is a sticky in the Windows OS forum by Jullio entitled "Before posting your minidumps..." which I suggest you read and follow the advice contained therein. If the advice given doesn't resolve your issues post back.
