The Sims complete collection problem

hi,
i recently played the sims complete collection and stumbled upon a very annoying glitch and i was wondering if anybody could help. what happens is that i start in my house everthing is running the way it should, but then when i go out somewhere the game will hose up. it takes half of the place i am going to and half of my house when i go to the place. you are able to walk around and keep playing the game perfectly but it gets really annoying when you cannot find where anything is because everything disappears until you hover over the object you want, with your mouse, to interact with. can anybody help, it would be apperciated.

Are the games patched? Check the versions of your games. Just because it is re-released later as a collection doesn't mean it is up to date with patches.

Also, it might be helpful to know your operating system and major system components.
